SVPR Mission

SVPR is a private sailing club. Our mission is to get people to stop looking at their phones.
We want to accomplish this by offering an option for a high quality offline time based on a shared community contribution.
You get a time off from the digital world, learn new skills, make friends and re-connect to nature.

Support us! Get somebody off the phone.

Getting people’s awareness away from their screens. Nowadays this task feels like going offline in a fast-paced society embracing continuous digitalisation – until the day you are away and offline. You will feel different!

To keep going, we need your support for the maintenance of the project.
Even, if you just buy us some polish. Help us keep going!

Private Day Cruise

Offline. Tech-free. Nature-bound.

We live on a small Greek island. Somewhere between Athens and Turkey. After 6 weeks here, you know every dog, cat and donkey by its name.  Some people might find it challenging or even boring. I promise, when you put your phone away and your perception slows down, you start to feel alive again. Real life happens with the donkey, not on your phone.

This said, the day experience starts with switching off our phones. We place them into a sealed container. We forget about all those messages that might come. And we only get the phones back in the evening. Yes, that’s the deal when you sign up here.

We take off on the boat. Your skipper will introduce you to sailing. Yes, YOU will sail the boat. You will learn a set of hard skills in sailing, basic navigation and prepare a lunch on the boat. We have time to stop for a swim and explore some deserted little islands with a cove. In case we are really lucky, some dolphins might join the ride and accompany the bow of the boat.

Tofino

Hallberg Rassy Monsun 31′ built in 1978

Tofino is a classic sailing vessel. This kind of boats are not built anymore these days. Hand crafted in Sweden, it was built to resist the conditions in the North Atlantic Ocean. The Monsun 31 was built from 1973 until 1982 and is the best seller of all time by Hallberg-Rassy with no less than 904 yachts delivered to all over the world. She is a no-nonsense sturdy long distance sailor that has never been modern and, like all Hallberg-Rassys, will never go out of fashion. As a displacement sloop, the boat lies deep and secure in the water. Safety and resistance are the most outlines features. The classic tiller steering allows a huge comfort and safe cockpit with space for 4-6 crew. Slow cruising instead of restless rushing. You will also find newest navigation technology on board combined with teak wood interior. 4 berths sleep the crew comfortably on any passage.
